Navigating Big Life Changes and What’s Next

Hi there!

I hope you’re enjoying early springtime. Here in the mountains of Western North Carolina, so much is already blooming and I’m soaking it all in on my short walks (waddles?) with my dog. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and even though our initial plans were to have a non-surgical birth this time around, it looks like we are headed that direction after all. This sweet baby is happy to sit head-up in their cozy uterus hammock and just like with my first, seems to be asking us to come get them. So my mantra lately has been “okay love, I hear you. Stay put. We are coming for you. We will be there so soon.” I’ve been moving through a lot of grief about this, about all of the potential I thought we had to have a different type of birth experience, about what it means for me physiologically and recovery-wise. I happen to have the most incredible support team around and we have been collaborating to create the absolute best experience possible, even though it’s not ultimately what I had hoped for. I am practicing trusting deeply, releasing control (the hardest thing for me personally), and believing that we are right where we are meant to be as a family.

These moments are where the rubber meets the road in our growth work. I can see the ways in which I have grown and I can see where I still have plenty of growing to do. I can see where I’ve built capacity and I can see where I’m still so triggered and overwhelmed and very much *not* the best version of myself. I can see where I still need help learning how to be with the biggest, scariest, saddest, and most pivotal times, and where it’s okay to need that help. I have been received with so much tenderness and kindness as I feel my way through this next life transition, and every time that happens, a hard part of me softens and allows the help and support in.

How about you? What are you navigating right now where you might be able to soften just a tiny bit? How does it change your experience in the moment? What resistance do you notice when you try? What supports you in letting that resistance go, even a little?

I want to share some exciting opportunities coming up in my practices and what I’m planning for the next couple of months. First, my bi-annual Pay What You Please virtual course sale is happening in April! I offer this sale twice a year to make sure my work is accessible to you. This time around, I’m doing things a little differently: I normally offer my courses for up to half off, so people are able to choose the discount code that is right for them. However, I’m REALLY into keeping things simple and easy right now, so I will just be offering the 50% discount code. All three of my virtual courses, Healing Anxious Attachment, Understanding Avoidant Attachment, and TEND: A Secure Attachment Deep Dive will be available for $74.50 from April 26 through April 29. I will be sure to send out a message reminding you, but please mark your calendar if you’re interested!

Next, I’m so thrilled to offer the next round of HELD: a supported integrative attachment program. We learned so much during our first experience of this coaching group and are super excited to offer it again. This time around, the group will be 8 weeks with longer coaching sessions and a deeper focus on several key themes (with lots of time to connect with one another in the group). You will receive group coaching, 1:1 coaching with Monica and myself, the support of the weekly group, a bonus group astrological reading with the amazing Liz Gunn, and all the resources and recommendations we can muster for your individual healing path! Applications and early bird registration are now open until April 21. We officially begin the week of May 8. We would LOVE to have you there. If you have any questions at all for me about the program or whether it’s a good fit for you, don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Finally, the waitlist is open for individual coaching beginning in September! If you are wanting 1:1 weekly support in a 12-week container, I am here for you. I have absolutely loved providing this support and I have seen folks change so much in their lives in a short amount of time. Whether you are in a partnership or not, this work is truly transformational for all of your relationships—and I will be your most enthusiastic cheerleader and collaborator through it all. Please reach out to me if you’d like to chat to see if we are a good fit to work together!

I am so grateful for your support, encouragement, and positive energy during this time! I appreciate you. I have one more newsletter/blog post for you soon before I take some time to focus on my family and this next chapter in my life. I decided to write about something a little controversial (because why not go out on leave with a bang?!) and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I look forward to connecting with you soon. In the meantime, please take good care of yourself and the people who are most important to you.

Warmly,

Elizabeth
